Home, Sweet Home
Last week I posted about getting ready for the ACFW conference. Now, I've returned Home and I'm so glad to be back. The weekend was exhausting, but exhilarating at the same time.
I missed my family. You know when you spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (almost) with your children, being without them is hard. Don't get me wrong, they do get on my nerves regularly, but I love my kids. I love being with them, watching them learn, teaching them, and playing with them. I missed my husband too, though since he's gone to work all day... LOL
It's good to be Home.
Now, back to real life, and working on my manuscript to get it ready to send to the two lovely ladies who requested it. Edits here I come.
Have you had occasion to be away from your home and been really Happy to be Home?
Blessings,
Ginger
Besides a few nights in hospital never. And that can hardly count because I did not really know I was without them.
ReplyDeleteIt is unthinkable for me at this time to be without them
It's hard, but I needed the break and really enjoyed myself with fellow Christian writers.
DeleteLike you, I'm glad to be home from ACFW conference. My time there was amazing, but it's good to be home!
ReplyDeleteI was so glad to meet you, albeit briefly. So much going on.
DeleteI missed the conference this year, but I so understand that 'getting home' feeling. Even last year when it was in St. Louis only 20 min. from home it was a different world. If felt good to come home.

So sorry you didn't make it this year Diana. Next year, maybe. I would love to meet you in real life. :)
DeleteBecause I move so often, I love it the first time I notice that approaching a new home really feels like coming home. Enjoy working on your manuscript in yours!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet. Yes, I know that feeling as well. This house is just now starting to "feel" like home. We've been here six years. I am not a native of Alabama, so I think Virginia will always be "home" though I no longer have family there (sister-in-law and others in my husband's family, but none of my own).
DeleteThanks for the encouragement. :)
