Ps 91 (NKJV)

3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the perilous pestilence.4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

DAY 1

Well, I'm here.  I had many things I wanted to say on this first day of my blog, but now that I've started I find I am struggling.

I've changed the name of my blog in my head quite a few times.  I like "Under His Wings" because I know I'm safe there.  Psalm 91 has ministered to me more times than I can count. But this blog will be eclectic, so I've toyed with a title that shows that as well. My life does not revolve around any one aspect. I read, write, live and love. I enjoy our mini-farm (mostly). Some days I will write about writing, but mostly it will be about God, family, horses, or homeschooling.

Today I think I will start with a blurb about myself.

I am...*cough, cough*...years old.  I've been married for twenty years. We have seven children, six of whom I home school.  My oldest graduated in 2010 and is currently attending the local community college. My next oldest will be graduating in 2012. After that I have a 14yo, 12yo, 11yo, 9yo, and 7yo.  Five boys, two girls.

From August through May, my life is school work, dinner, laundry, and school work. In the summer I read like there's no tomorrow. In the last few years, God has laid it on my heart to take my desire to write and put it to work for Him.  I have written one book, but have since found it to be quite boring. It may one day make to this blog. My second book has a "the end", but is by no means complete. I hope to have it ready by September to take with me to my first ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) conference.

We own seven acres in North Alabama. On this seven acres we have one cat, one bunny, two horses, three dogs, and a lot of chickens. We also have a large garden, 40+ fruit trees, blackberries, raspberries, grapes, blueberries, pomegranates, etc, etc.  You get the idea.  :-)

Well, I suppose that's a good start. I hope it doesn't take me too long to get the hang of this.  LOL

under HIS wings,
Ginger
